Reaching Out To Our Younger Generation...

Here at Angels of Inspiration we believe that we need to reach out to our younger generation through inspiration, thus building strong, confident, and positive attitudes. If we can program our young minds that through perseverance, anyone can achieve their dreams. If we can practice to maintain a positive mindset, while handling life challenges, all throughout as they personally grow. No matter what speed bumps get in their way... they will be able to prepare a positive coarse down their individual pathways without the attitude of giving up when life gets hard. Let's teach the minds at there most developing years of their life, rather than learning the hard way down the road as so many of our generation has had to. We believe thats it time to maybe think outside the box.

Example...

The parent who uses disappointment or shame doesn't consider the long term damages to the child's self-esteem. The parent is simply using guilt as an expedient way to emotionally manipulate the child as a form of control. Disappointment in another person is basically a form of rejection and disapproval. It is powerful and toxic.

Negative emotions are backward focused, and are more automatic, while positive emotions are about the future, and need to be developed by engaging the imagination in constructive ways.

Positive emotions amount to learned optimism. A conscious choice not to be overwhelmed by negativity. Positive emotions are more than the absence of negative emotions. Positive emotions can have effects beyond making people "feel good" or improving their lifes experiences. They also have the potential to broaden, build and open people's mindsets, enabling creative and flexible thinking. Finding positive meaning in adverse circumstances may simply be another case of positive emotions undoing negative emotions, which helps build resilience to future experiences.

Finding ways to develope positive emotions will build pathways towards health and well-being for us as parents and give us the tools we need to empower our children.
